The International Centre of the University of Pécs is looking for International Student Ambassadors for the academic year 2022/2023

Who is a student ambassador?

International Student Ambassadors (ISAs) are current students who act as a link between the university and the outside community

Happy Easter!

One of the best aspects of studying internationally at a foreign university is the opportunity to experience the diversity of cultures around the world. A fun way to enjoy such unique parts of a culture is to celebrate a country’s holidays with locals which is what I did last Easter. I traveled to a Hungarian friend’s family home in Szarvas, a small Hungarian town of around 17,000 inhabitants.

Adapting to a new life abroad

The idea of moving to a new country to pursue my dreams was very exciting and I was eagerly looking forward to how this new adventure would unfold. To be honest, the fact that I was going to be thousands of miles away from my lovely family and friends was somewhat scary but I was still so ready to start this fresh chapter of my life.

Valentine's day

Many stories give it various origins, Valentine's Day is celebrated all over the world on the 14th of February. All of those stories which are somehow connected to Valentine's Day have one thing in common: love and honesty towards your loved ones.

Taking a look at the first story, it started as a festival, which was placed to fall on the same day when Lupercalia was celebrated. It was a fertility festival dedicated to Faunus the Roman God of agriculture as well as to the Roman founders Romulus and Remus.

My Erasmus+ traineeship experience

At the University of Pécs, all students have the opportunity to study abroad on an Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies and/or Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Traineeship.

An Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Studies allows students to complete a semester or two abroad during their studies. For medical students, this means during the first five years of study. While the Erasmus+ Student Mobility for Traineeship, allows students or recent graduates to obtain practical training in their chosen fields.
